We are looking for experienced drillers with clean Class 1 licenses. Check the Careers section for details.

Hi. We’re Longhorn.

We have over two decades of experience in the oilfield. Our team can provide multifaceted support to your business, both on-site and remotely.

What is an oilfield consultant?

Oilfield consultants are individuals who are contracted to supervise activities and personnel onsite for the operating company. They may oversee drilling, completion and production operations.

Working with Longhorn Consulting is a little bit different. We don’t just oversee your operations; you’ll see our crew in the equipment, running drill rigs or hauling equipment site to site. Our experience doesn’t stop at the office; our team has decades of experience in the field, in all areas.

Longhorn Consulting is WCB and commercially insured, with $2,000,000 General Liability coverage.

Benefits of hiring a consultant

Running a business is stressful enough without the hassle of hiring skilled personnel. The benefits of hiring a consultant include:

Expertise

Longhorn prides itself on finding and employing individuals with a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience. Our employees are experts in their field, and possess a wide range of other complementary skills.

Cost Savings

By hiring a consultant, you pay only for the services that you need, when you need them. This can provide substantial savings when you consider the expense of hiring a salaried employee with a similar skill set.

Objectivity

Consultants are not emotionally invested in a company in the same way an owner or employee may be; this degree of separation allows them to identify and address issues with an objective mindset versus an emotional one.

Services

Longhorn Consulting is based in Alberta and we do the majority of our work within the province. However, we are available to work on-site at any location within Canada.
